The GHEA21 Collaborative for Threatened and Exiled Universities is a group of academic institutions and learning communities that have been forced to operate in exile due to political threats and military crises. The collaborative creates a unique academic space in which threatened scholars and students study, learn, and act together.

The Work of the Collaborative
- Sharing resources and best practices across member institutions.
- Organizing public engagement programs and talks on academic freedom, the emerging role of universities, and the situations of endangered students and organizations.
- Developing faculty and student support programs and fellowships.
- Mobilizing joint research and assessment activities to measure impact.
